Quests & Daily Silver

Every quest in Wanderburg and what it pays: 58 of them, from the three dailies that reset each day to the stage quests that bankroll your first modules. Numbers come from the game files, so treat them as close rather than exact.

The short answer

Stage quests pay43,250silver, once, across the whole game
Every priced module costs37,50020 of 21, so the quests more than cover them
A day of dailies3,250–3,750depending on the objectives you are dealt

Do the slot 3 daily and ignore the rest: it pays 2,500 on its own and counts across every run you play that day, so slots 1 and 2 finish themselves on the way. Stage quests are the real money, but each pays once.

Daily quests

Three slots a day. Slots 1 and 2 must be finished inside a single run; slot 3 adds up across everything you play that day. Each slot draws one of three objectives, and the draw changes what it pays.

Best a single day can pay3,750
  • The draw matters as much as the doing. Slot 1 pays 250 for sheep but 500 for units or vehicles. There is no reroll, so a sheep day is simply worth less.
  • One run can feed two slots. When both per-run slots draw the same family, clearing the larger target clears the smaller one on the way, and both feed slot 3.
  • Only start a second run to finish slot 3. The per-run slots are already banked. Past halfway, one more run closes it; at a quarter you are committing to three or four more for the same 2,500.

How quests pay

Quest silver is not handed over as you go. It is tallied and shown on the end-of-run screen as its own Silver from quests line, separate from the Overtime line, so a quest you complete and then die on is a question we cannot answer yet — see below.

58 quests: 27 stage quests (3 per map, 500-5,000 silver), 8 map unlocks, 9 dailies (3 a day from an easy, a medium and a hard pool, 250-2,500 silver), 12 module unlocks, 2 vehicle unlocks. Every quest is listed under Quests. Several quest texts mis-name modules or mis-state rewards; one reuses its count as the reward.

Stage quests, map by map

Three on every map, paid once each. They are listed in the order they are worth doing: cheapest first. The map's silver multiplier is in each heading.

Quests that fight back

  • Golden Dunes, 25 Mortar Towers in one run. Our enemy data puts static mortar towers in the Grassland, so on the Desert they arrive with Overtime — 3,500 to 5,000 HP each, already aiming. Wasteland asks for five of them for the same silver. Widely called the hardest quest in the game.
  • Green Plains, 5 Harvesters. One Harvester per run, at stage 1, around 135 seconds in, with 10,000 HP. That is five runs minimum, each needing serious burst before most builds have come online.
  • The Ancient and Kanoningen, 5 kills each. Both are stage-4 bosses, so every attempt is a full clear of a five-skull map.
  • Waving Fields, 7 Spikeballs in one run. Our enemy data only lists rolling spikeballs in Endless, and the axeman that also counts as one is a Dark Forest enemy. If you have cleared this on a normal run, we would like to know.

What unlocks what

These pay no silver. The route through the maps is the spine of the game: each map's bosses open the next, and two of them hand you a chassis.

Getting the most out of them

  1. Collect the passive ones. Several stage quests count totals across every run — tracked vehicles, walking vehicles, rams, horses. They finish on their own. Never play for them.
  2. Take the free 2,500. Meadows pays for winning three runs, with no kill requirement attached.
  3. Detour for the cheap 500s. Monks on Dusky Pines and units on Green Plains are a few seconds of eating, not a build plan.
  4. Leave the five-skull bosses until your castle is finished. They pay the most and ask the most, and they are not going anywhere.

What we cannot confirm

58 quests. 9 dailies: three slots a day, where slots 1 and 2 must be done in a single run and slot 3 accumulates across every run you play that day. The game generates them from an easy, a medium and a hard pool; players report they are the same for everyone on a given date and cannot be rerolled, and the build contains no reroll text for quests, but neither is confirmed. 27 stage quests, three on each of the nine maps. The pre-run screen has a 'Biome Quests:' control beside Difficulty and Silver Multiplier; whether it switches stage-quest tracking off or only lists the map's three is unconfirmed. 22 unlocks: 8 maps, 2 vehicles and 12 modules. Quest silver is paid at the end of a run on its own 'Silver from quests' line, separate from Overtime silver. The objective wording here was checked against the shipped build's own English text (0.9.15, build 26148683); the counts and rewards come from playertome alone, because the numbers the build hardcodes in its older quest strings are stale leftovers it no longer displays.

  • Are "overall" quests tied to their map? If they are not, you could farm The Ancient on Golden Dunes (two skulls) instead of the Wasteland (five). Test it in one run: kill The Ancient on Golden Dunes, then look at whether the Wasteland counter moved. Tell us either way.
  • Does quest silver survive dying? Finish a slot 1 daily, then die on purpose, and watch whether the end screen still shows a Silver from quests line.
  • Does the map's silver multiplier apply to quest silver? Do the same daily on Green Plains and on Waving Fields and compare that line.
